So again, the reference levels are subtle but there. Jack Hall’s shirt, and this will PROVE what a nerd I am, it’s a reference to the design of the Cube character in the Japanese version of Jet Set Radio. I’ve already talked about what a big influence that game is on me before. But here I am just copying the idea of a shirt with a blood spattered kind of pattern. You can see it a little bit in this image.
Well it also works on another level. See the blood spattered imagery. Its also references something else. In this case the real life person who Jack Hall is based upon. You guessed it, none other than Andrew W.K. and this famous photo:
