I feel like I’m being pretty clever here having Becky Vice and Jack Hall slowly get closer to the stage.
So I figured, where better to have the girls play than a roller rink. I can’t really remember my inspiration here. But the idea would be that the girls would be playing while people are skating around them. Kind of like Asbury Lanes has bands playing while you bowl. I was always sad about that aspect of Brooklyn Bowl. I wanted gutter balls and strikes to be rolling by while the band played.
I was only beginning to grasp the idea of how to present the girls playing their instruments here. I threw in the crappy papier-mâché comets and space stuff, but it would actually be a precursor to what you will see in Jam in the Band 2. Take a look:
I guess I equate outer space and explosions with rocking out.
