You may have noticed the rather large graffiti in the background of this scene. Ass Face isn’t real, but Neck Face most definitely is.

When I first moved to Brooklyn, and had my crappy little apartment under the BQE, the door had a Neck Face tag on it. I was initially confused, but as time went by, I started to realize that there were few places I could go in town without seeing his tag. On wall, on windows, covering entire rooftops. Often times this giant clawed hand and the words Neck Face. There was something menacing and fascinating about it. Who is he? How did he tag all these places?

It’s funny, I don’t really see Neck Face tags so much anymore, he has been replaced by Back Fat, and Dick Chicken. But at the time I drew this, it was impossible to imagine a wall without Neck Face Graffiti.
