JitB page 020 In a small town

So this is about a word for word from my own life as this book gets. I actually had this conversation with my friend Elizabeth as she was leaving college. She was moving to NYC and really it was this conversation that made me focus all of my energies on getting there myself.

Having grown up in the cultural dead zone that was Gaithersburg MD, I feel like NYC is where I was waiting all my life to be. Escaping the soul death of a small town; Jam in the Band is VERY much about this. It’s one of the driving forces in my life.

Let’s listen to a song about it, Small Town by Lou Reed & John Cale :

So the second panel, where its a different size from all the rest. I don’t know why I did that. Do you think it works. I kinda love it now, but I’m sure it wasn’t always like that.

I think it looks good with the smaller panel. It adds variety
