I dunno if I invented the DC/HC logo, or if I saw it somewhere. But if I had my druthers, this shirt WOULD exist out there in the real world. I myself have nothing but fascination and respect for the Hardcore scene of the early 80’s. And by this I of course mean, Black Flag, Minor Threat, Bad Brains etc.
Now. If we’re gonna keep going with this discussion I really feel that Our Band Could be Your Life is required reading. Because that book certainly informs a lot of the choices I made in this one. As we go along I’ll get more into the whole Henry Rollins and D.I.Y ideals that run through this book. But in the meantime we can all agree to at least watch this clip of Black Flag playing Nervous Breakdown:
